Using grips to move objects not the same old move command. 

1.  Begin by highlighting the object you want to move by clicking on one of the grips, next press ENTER and finally begin moving your mouse which will then activate the desired grip to being moving the object where you desire..

2.  First making sure Ortho is off, press ENTER once again while you continue moving you mouse.  This action will cause the selected object to stop moving and begin instead to rotate in position with the hot grip now acting as the object’s center of rotation.

3.  When ENTER is pressed for a third time, you now have the ability to properly scale the object.  Once again, the grip will act as a base for this function.
